Michael's Genuine Food & Drink
James Beard Award winning Chef Michael Schwartz’s first Cayman Islands outpost, Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink Grand Cayman, brings the warmth, flavour and acclaimed cuisine that are the hallmarks of his Miami restaurant to the beautiful harbour-facing Crescent at Camana Bay.
Working with local, sustainable ingredients, the restaurant has forged relationships with nearby farmers and fishermen to make certain that Caymanian ingredients are staples of the daily-changing menu.
Guests at Michael’s Genuine enjoy the buzz of the sleek, modern dining room, welcoming bar, eye catching wood-burning oven and food bar piled high with local produce. Outside, lounge and table seating offers guests gentle island breezes and a view of the bay.
While lunch offers options that range from a quick bite to a more formal dining experience or business lunch, the dinner menu is designed for sharing. Divided into snacks, small, medium, large and extra large plates, sides and cheese of the week, diverse choices encourage exploration.
A well-crafted, creative wine list including many interesting appellations by the glass, an eclectic selection of beers, including new Michael's Genuine Home Brew, one of the largest bourbon selections on-island, and a signature cocktail list, has helped establish a lively weekday Happy Hour, attracting a balanced mix of professionals and vacationers.

Michael's Genuine is a member of Cayman Sea Sense, hosts monthly Farm-To-Table Dinners with Slow Food Grand Cayman and works with local divers who hunt the invasive lionfish to offer this delicious predator in myriad preparations on its menu.
