Service and food was excellent. Very friendly. Snapper was great. Daughter got fried shrimp from kids menu and ask for an adult portion. Some of the best shrimp I have eaten off her plate in years.

Be sure you make a reservation in advance if you want to sit out on the deck area. It was busy but the tables are spread out enough so we could carry on a conversation with ease. Our family of five dined at the Conch on day five of our vacation after having gone to four other local restaurants which were all fantastic in different ways. The Conch had a great menu which again made it hard to choose from. The absolute winner at the table was the red snapper in the creamy chorizo sauce with scotch bonnet and tomato vinaigrette. Just fantastic. The staff were very attentive, the restaurant itself had nice ambiance and all our meals were delicious.

We ate at five different restaurants during the week and all five of us agreed that The Cracked Conch was our favorite. It was a close call but the atmosphere and food and service were outstanding.

Charming ambience. Very professional, knowledgeable and attentive service without being obtrusive. Delicious food. For starters we had crispy spicy calamari, tuna tartare and beef tartare. The beef was sensational and the tuna if anything even better. Main entrees: two of us had Bouillabaise which was delicious, and the third had Garlic shrimp. We washed this down with a very nice, and reasonably priced Pouilly Fume. Portions were generous but we forced ourselves into a sorbet and an ice cream trio, which were good. With hindsight, wish I'd tried the Key Lime Pie. Desserts were a little slow to come, but otherwise a delicious dinner in a beautiful setting with generally excellent service.

Fantastic! Wonderful location, a beautiful spot. Best calamari ever. Great meal, friendly service. One of the best places on the island.

We had a wonderful time. Sat on outside deck with warm breeze and band playing at bar below.
Jennifer was a great server and the food was beautifully presented and delicious.
We had short rib ravioli and tuna tartare as appetizers. For the entrees we had lobster, chili garlic shrimp and prime rib. For dessert we had beautifully presented key lime pie with papaya chutney and strawberry ice cream!
Our son had gone to the Cracked Conch twice on his honeymoon so we definitely wanted to give it a try while we were on Grand Cayman.

The Cracked Conch is a first rate restaurant. The food is exquisite. We were lucky to be married in Grand Cayman in August 2009. After the ceremony, we and 30 guests dined at the Cracked Conch. We continue to hear rave reviews about the food. The short rib ravioli was delicate yet meaty. The butter poached mahi mahi was silky and rich, tempered by sweet mango. We had the cracked conch and the conch ceviche. The crispy calamari was a surprise and a treat. In New York, fried calamari is on every menu. Tough little rings. Surprise, surprise. The Cracked Conch served tender filets of squid, delicately fried. The most tender calamari I can ever remember eating. I, personally, did not have the shrimp cocktail, but I did see that it was plated differently and more elegantly than most. The service was top of the line. To describe our meal in one word ... luxurious.

Cracked Conch and Macabuca - WOW, what an amazing setting! We went to the Cracked Conch for dinner on a Thursday. Beware, they no longer do the seafood feast. But it doesn't matter because their regular menu is great - in particular, the scallops were DIVINE. Go early for the sunset - we ate at 6:15, enjoyed the delicious food and sunset, and then after dinner walked down the steps to Macabuca where we snagged some lounge chairs on the rail and enjoyed rummy drinks while watching the night set in right over the water. It was beautiful. Also, you can dive or snorkel (day or night) right at the bar. We were dressed for a nice dinner the first time we went, but returned later in the week dressed for snorkeling and to enjoy the bar. The snorkeling was AMAZING right there - even better than when we took the boat out to the reef. The divers we saw in the evening doing their night dives really seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. Overall, highly recommended!

My husband took me to this restaurant for my birthday. I wanted a sunset dinner for the romance and the quailty of food. The sunset was great. The service was great. But the food was over priced. I ordered the lobster and it was dry. Maybe I am spoiled being from California. But I asked if the lobster was local and they assured me it was. I thought I had it made. How could it go wrong? My husband had the grilled snapper and that was very good. Maybe I just got my lobster on an off night. It tasted like it was cooked way before it was served. Needless to say it was ok over all. Just a little disappointing since I had such high expectations.

Highly recommend. Beautiful scenery, excellent food and friendly owner/staff. Did an offshore snorkel, where we tracked the mini wall, right after lunch, which was outstanding and the owner assisted me with my equipment (at no charge). There is an outdoor shower and snorkel/dive equipment cleaner. Cracked Conch is just around the bend from the Turtle Farm and well worth the trip.

The food at the Cracked Conch is absolutley divine, the cocktails are to die for and the staff are the friendliest on the Island. Cracked Conch has one of the best views overlooking the Caribbean sea. I could go on and on and on about the food, but I would not be doing it justice.

Having had the privilege of living in Grand Cayman for the past 18 months and with high hopes of returning soon, my family had visited Cracked Conch for Sunday Brunch on several occasions and also in the evening for a drink at your bar. We enjoyed it all, good food, service and wonderful location. After Sunday Brunch it's a lovely spot to sit for a couple of hours, having a cocktail, made by the friendly staff. Looking forward to many more times in Cracked Conch in the future.
