My Son, who lives and works in the Caymans, had never been to Fidel Murphys, and it was I having lived out of England for 40 years who insisted on going. "Thank you", great food and service! The day you put a Fidel Murphys in the Dominican Republic-- I'll be the first customer.

My family visited this restaurant last Tuesday when we were on vacation. We read that it was "all you can eat" fish and chips on Tuesday. The food was excellent. It was the best fish that I have ever had. The portion was very large and they were giving a free beer with the meal. We ordered three dinners and the cost was very reasonable, especially for the area. I wish we could have gone back a second time but there was too much to see and do. If you are thinking about visiting this restaurant, I would definitely go. You will not be disappointed.

Ahhhh Fidel Murphy's still one of my fondest food finds and pub to hang out in Cayman. I am wearing my Fidel shirt today St. Patricks day in sunny LA! The food was wonderfully tasty and I cannot pass a visit there when in Cayman. Great people to serve you, and great pub relaxing atmosphere. I raise my glass to ya's! Sparky

We've made many trips to the Caymans and for the past 10 years Fidel Murphy's has come up trumps. They have an awesome authentic Irish breakfast, the carvery at lunch on week days can't be beat (price and quality), and the menu has a wide variety of dishes from Irish stew to boxty chicken. Guinness taste like it has been pulled in Dublin, but other drafts such as Kilkenny and Stella Artois are also delicious. The atmosphere during a Gaelic game is entertaining....just don't stand in front of a viewing screen!

I visit this bar nearly every two weeks.
Nothing particularly Irish about it.
Guinness is awful but that is to be expected really.
Food is always average to poor but I still return for the air conditioning and wireless internet.
Will not anymore, service can be very rude depending on staff on duty. Today we got hassled relentlessly by staff for staying one hour, (after having ordered drinks and a main course meal). We were told the bar was full and guests were being turned away, yet half the tables were empty! Very confusing as we are regular customers... a lot of return business of cruise ship staff was lost today.....

I was recently on vacation in Cayman, but had an average meal at Fidel Murphys. I must say it's over rated in many ways: no bartender behind bar for at least 10mins and eventually when he arrived back they had no Guinness ... imagine that ... an Irish bar with no Guinness draft ...
food was average at best. Worth a return if they get Guinness again!!

During our recent trip to Grand Cayman we dined twice at Fidel Murphy's. The food was delicious. The decor was authentic and made my Irish husband (and former Irish hotel bar/catering manager) feel right at home. Service was very efficient and personable, and the Irish accents from behind the counter and the servers were very welcome. By expensive Cayman standards, the meals were great value for money, and the menu had a wide range.

Fine Irish hospitality combined with generous and well cooked food items, this is a friendly bar where the conversation is washed down with good ales and stouts - Guiness and Kilkenny to name but two. UK and Irish sport predominates so this is the place to watch football (the real version!), hurling, Rugby, etc.. The bar is almost authentic Dublin with the prices giving good value for money all round.
